On The Estate
Easter Adventures
Our Grade-II listed manor house hotel is set within 300 acres of private parkland – an oasis of peace, overlooked only by native wildlife. Step out to stroll our blossoming gardens and grounds, breathe in the fresh, April air and listen out for joyful birdsong. Little (and big) visitors are invited to hop along our Easter Trail, hunting hidden panels to learn all about the flowers, bugs and birds that call our estate home and discover some egg-citing easter facts. Crack the clues to solve the puzzle and claim your chocolate treat!
Feasts & Treats
Easter isn’t Easter without a celebratory feast – and at our estate, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to dining destinations. Sit down to an exquisite Sunday Lunch in our award-winning Emerald Restaurant – the region’s only 3 AA Rosette restaurant. In the mood for something more relaxed? Cloisters Restaurant offers table d’hote dining beneath a luminous glass ceiling.
And, if your sweet tooth is calling, Afternoon Tea in the Drawing Room is the answer. Slow cooked ham hock sandwiches, treacle scones with clotted cream and pistachio and orange blossom patisserie are just some of the delights on offer, served with your choice of coffee, loose-leaf tea or chilled Laurent-Perrier Champagne.

Time For Tee
As the golf season re-opens, our grounds really comes into their own. Make the most of your Easter break to tee off for a leg-stretch on our top-rated parkland courses. And if the weather isn’t playing ball, step into The Golf Lab to enjoy a virtual game on international championship courses.
And everyone can enjoy a radiant afternoon in The Keepers, our new parkland restaurant set in the natural beauty of the estate. Settle in the spring sunshine to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by from its sun terrace or panoramic balcony.
Refresh & Relax
When you stay with us, you receive full access to The Retreat – our sunlit spa sanctuary. Take an afternoon to yourself this Easter, basking in the April’s glow beneath the glass ceiling of our 15m pool. Or treat yourself to an Easter gift, an indulgent Germaine De Cappucini spa ritual to cleanse, nourish and restore for the season ahead. If you’ve been out walking hill and dale, Dreamy Leg Therapy will relieve and energise, while a Skin-Zen Rose Therapy facial will de-stress, hydrate and leave you feeling relaxed in mind, body and spirit.

A Hop, Skip & Jump Away
Whether you’re planning a family escape, getting away with friends or looking forward to a relaxing retreat – just for two, Northumberland delivers.
Searching for a traditional Easter Egg Hunt? Head to historic Wallington Hall or picturesque Gibside for fun, nature-inspired trails, hunts and activities for all the family – complete with a chocolate egg prize.
The journey up to our Northumbrian estate takes you through idyllic countryside, with newborn lambs tottering through the fields and meadows of our traditional, sheep-farming region. At nearby Wheelbirks Parlour, children can meet and feed baby lambs and get to know the rest of the farm family – from feeding chickens and collecting their eggs to getting close to the farm’s beloved Jersey cows and calves. Animal Hours are available throughout April, and offer the perfect Easter activity, topped by a milkshake or ice-cream in the parlour itself, made using the farm’s own Jersey milk.
Get out for a day on the spectacular Northumbrian coast and come home with a new treasure at Forage Easter Market at Acklington, with 50 stalls of local artisan makers, local street food vendors and craft beer all on offer on the 18th and 19th April.
