Overlooking 300 acres of our heritage estate, The Golf Academy has been expertly and
thoughtfully designed to offer the latest golf practice facilities, alongside expert coaching and a
welcoming environment for players, families and visitors alike.
Whether you’re perfecting a long-held passion, creating a more confident swing or simply
discovering the pleasure of the game for the first time, this is a place where every visit offers

And for those enjoying a relaxed afternoon, a cafe, terrace and pro shop offer a natural space
for a well-earned pause and a chance to chat and enjoy the social side of sport.
The Driving Range
Our new Driving Range features 15 covered bays, each equipped with Toptracer technology
and artificial target greens across the range. Play 50 or 100 balls to track the flight, distance and
speed of every shot with total accuracy to sharpen your technique, chart your progress and
make every session count.
For a more social experience, the Swing Suite tees up a Driving Range session for up to eight
players at a time. Get together with friends and family to play famous international courses, with
fresh pizza and drinks delivered directly to your suite.
Mini Matfen Putting Course
At The Golf Academy, the game is for everyone. The spirit of our play and practice facility is
inclusive and inviting, with spaces for families, friends and newcomers to enjoy golf together.
The Mini-Matfen Putting Course tees up 18 holes of all-weather play for everyone. Designed by
renowned course architect, James Edwards, its carefully crafted contours set up twists, turns
and surprises to invite friendly competition and keep every player on their toes.
Perfect for a pre-round warm up, friendly get-together, or a relaxed afternoon with the little ones,
the Mini Matfen Putting Course is golf at its most accessible.
The Par-3
Open to all, the Par-3 course at The Golf Academy offers a welcoming introduction for
beginners and novices, as well as a rewarding challenge for accomplished players short on time
or keen to refine their short game.
And if you’re looking for a day dedicated to sharpening your skills, the new short-game practice
area is the natural next step. Focus on the finer details and target problem areas to develop and
improve your overall game.
PGA Coaching
From first lessons to focused sessions designed to reach your individual goals, The Golf
Academy is where confidence and ability flourish.
One to one coaching sessions from our PGA Professionals provide personalised coaching
across a range of abilities, helping golfers develop their game. While Junior Lessons, weekly
group sessions and playing lessons invite members and visitors to get to grips with golf across
the Par-3, Douglas course and Driving Range.
